What are you wanting to train your dog for, if you have a specific thing, let me know, I took a class in college on dog behavior and learned alot of different ways to train.

What are you trying to train it to do??

Picking up a puppy by the nape of the neck and shaking (very lightly of course) is how their mothers do it. I potty trained two goldens in a couple of days with this technique. Also stopped them from chewing shoes furniture etc.
