The first ambition I think I may have had was to become a Pop star. I was already writing songs before I was 10, in fact I still have the basic melodies in my head. I used to charge my younger brother money to sing them a cappelo; he used to pay up too. He was my earliest fan. I can still see his rapt face when I went into my routine.
